2016 DC Tweed Ride – location
The 8th Annual Tweed Ride is nearly upon us. Our 10.5 mile route will snake through leafy residential side streets, take downtown sites and cruise through the National Mall. Many of the streets we’ll travel feature bike lanes and are relatively flat.
The great staff at Velocity Bicycles Co-op will be on hand again this year to help those who need bicycle tires inflated and minor mechanical adjustments.
Meet us at Montrose Park (Lover’s Lane path) in Georgetown at R St. & Avon Pl. NW. Bring some cash for treats or bring your own goodies to enjoy at our scenic midway stopping point in Capitol Hill.
FYI: Daylight Savings Alert! Turn you clocks back an hour on Sunday Morning so you show up to the ride on-time!
