Behold the Boutonnière & How to get yours for the ride.

Boutonnière: a floral decoration worn by men, typically a single flower or bud. The word comes from the French word for buttonhole.

A woman walked up to me before the start of last year’s Tweed Ride and pinned my lapel with something that capped off my ride ensemble with a smart touch of class. Her name is Bethany Karn  and boutonnières are her specialty. Her floral touches wound up on several lucky riders last year and she’ll be back this year at the start of our ride.

Bethany has planned a few DIY classes for tomorrow and Saturday and if you can’t make the class, contact her at Bethany925 at Gmail to pre-order yours.  If you send a pic of what you are wearing, she’ll create a boutonnière  around it.
