The 2012 Seersucker Social is Sold Out!!


Dandies and Quaintrelles, Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, and Holly Bass Performance Projects are bringing Jazz Age style back to Hillwood for a day of fun and leisure with the Seersucker Ride and Social 2012 on Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Our retro bicycle ride begins at 11 a.m. at a secret location (to be emailed to registrants the day before the event) and continues at Hillwood for a grand lawn party featuring food, beverages, lawn games, and music. The Seersucker Social takes place from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hillwood and can be registered for separately.

A leisurely bicycle ride through the scenic streets of Washington, D.C., will be followed by an afternoon of picnicking, croquet and badminton, and live jazz performed by Dandy Wellington and his band. The Mansion and gardens at Hillwood will also be open for strolling, while a hands-on paper hat-making activity offers an outlet for the creative side. Beer, wine, sparkling wine, specialty cocktails, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Food, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, will be on sale from popular local food trucks.

Advance Price: $15, $5 children 6-18, free for children under 6
Door Price: $20, if available. This event may sell out.
Ticket price includes registration for the bike ride and admission to the social.
